Campaign Story

My name is Rose. When I was in sixth grade I met this boy named Lazaro we had a crush on each other and dated for two whole weeks. Then we moved on and dated other people lived our own lives. By the time I was 28 I was SO over dating. I was very picky of who I wanted a child with because I come from a broken home so I just wanted to avoid it if I could. Then, I was scrolling facebook and saw an old face, Lazaro. So I messaged him and said “do you remember me” he responded with “of course I do”. I was like a school girl again, talking to him about our lives since we last seen each other. We had so much in common, both no marriages, both no kids, both not wanting to settle for just anyone to avoid being lonely. We wanted that once in a lifetime love. I was thinking, is this real? We decided to meet in person (really for the first time) because we are adults now. He instantly felt like home. He taught me how to love again. After a year dating we moved in together and we decided we wanted to have children. We tried for years and nothing. After so many years of crying together over negative pregnancy tests we decided it was ok, we are our own little family, just us and our two dogs. We moved on and got married because who wouldn’t marry a guy like that! But I got lucky because I got a great job with great health insurance. The only thing they do not cover is IVF, and because of my fallopian tubes being damaged they have to be removed and IVF is my only option. IVF feels like a dream because everyone is so budgeted just to survive nowadays. I appreciate anyone who helps us with our journey.
